Football Recap: Broncos Edge Struggling Jets in Low-Scoring Battle

During a low-scoring contest this weekend, the Denver Broncos managed to secure a 13-11 win over the struggling New York Jets. Quarterback Bo Nix threw an early scoring strike and specialist Wil Lutz kicked the game-winning decisive three-pointer to seal the ugly win.

Dominant Display Wins Contest

Despite registering nine sacks versus Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos found themselves trailing 11-10 following giving up a two-point play in the second half. Remarkably, the Jets could only produce just 82 total net yards throughout the contest.

The Denver quarterback, who completed 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, engineered a critical 12-play, 65-yard possession that culminated in Lutz's 27-yard field goal with approximately five minutes remaining.

Historic Difficulties for Jets Offense

Despite their horrendous performance, the Jets still had the ball with a chance to score a possible victory. But Fields was tackled on fourth down from the Denver 44 when coach Aaron Glenn opted to attempt the conversion instead of calling on specialist Nick Folk for a long kick.

Fields had difficulties throughout, connecting on just 9 of 17 attempts for 45 yards. New York ended up with minus-10 passing yards, the lowest in any game since 1998.

"The aerial attack was completely absent," Glenn commented after the contest.
